Igor Guardiancich is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science and Public Management of the University of Southern Denmark. His research interests include European social policy, welfare states in Central and Eastern Europe, and the political economy of transition and integration. He has published in various international peer-reviewed journals (such as the Journal of Common Market Studies, West European Politics, and Regulation & Governance) and is the author of Pension Reforms in Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe: From Post-Socialist Transition to the Global Financial Crisis, published in 2012 by Routledge.
