Alberto Miglio obtained a PhD in European law from the University of Milano-Bicocca in September 2016, defending a thesis on “Differentiated integration in the European Union between flexibility and fragmentation”. He holds a law degree from the University of Torino and an LL.M. from the College of Europe (both with distinction). In 2015 he was a visiting scholar at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and Public International Law in Heidelberg. In addition to differentiated integration, his research interests include the relationship between national supreme courts and the EU Court of Justice, EU investment law and the legal aspects of Brexit.
